They do a really great job of painting that picture of an outcast king yearning for what he once had. I feel like a lot of songs in the album use nostalgia, but Viva La Vida is one of the best, along with Strawberry Swing. The lyrics and story behind Viva is my favorite part about it. I also really like the bass drum they use in this one. The first 5 notes are probably one of the most recognizable of any song!
